Walter Lee Foote
June 30, 1924 - July 28, 2016

WALTER LEE FOOTE {Sunny & Bubba) was born in Houston, Texas on June 30, 1924 to the proud parents of Alexander and Sedelia Foote. He attended Phillis Wheatley High School and then joined the United States Army on October 8, 1943. He served three years of service and received an honorable discharge on May 21, 1946. After his return home Walter went to  Culinary  School  and  he  worked  various  jobs.  As  an  Ice delivery driver, in his route he found the young lady that would later become his wife of 64 years.
During that marriage Walter sought a desire to advance himself in his career so as to take care of his family of 4 sons and 4 daughters. He then began to work at Gordon's Jewelers as a Supervisor in Shipping/Receiving where he retired  after working 42 years.
In their years of marriage, Annie B. Foote had many questions about the bible, later she would have those questions answered by  her  neighbor  who  was  one  of  Jehovah's   Witnesses. Mr. Foote attended many of the conventions  with his family and observed the memorials each year. He lost his wife in May 2010 this caused him great pain and sorrow throughout his course of life, his children continued to talk to him about the hope of a resurrection and the promise God made that he will see her again. Mr. Foote agreed that he knew he would see Annie again. After his daughter (Rose) asked him for the second time would he like to have a bible study, he said yes it was a happy day for the family. Walter had the support of loving  brothers  to  study  with  him  before  he  passed away;
O.B. Maxwell, Willie Milburn, Walter McDaniel and others who assisted them. He manifested and demonstrated by his actions that he made a personal dedication to God by witnessing with those who came to give him medical care and he invited his Therapist to sit in on his bible study and placed his first publications with his nurse and family friend on his own. On July 28th Walter Foote fell asleep in death he was not a sick man he was in good spirits getting around better after working with the Therapist.
He enjoyed fishing/crabbing with his family, he  loved to  cook, and he loved his children and wife. He is preceded in death by his wife Annie B. Foote; sons: Walter E.
